The 22-year-old began her career at Manchester United in the youth age groups before switching to the blue side of the city in 2017, where she won the FA Development League with the Manchester City Academy.
Bentley returned to her childhood team when Manchester United reformed their women’s side in 2018 where she would make one appearance for the Red Devils in the first half of the season before heading to Sheffield United on-loan for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign.
She gained more valuable experience in the Championship at Blackburn Rovers and has also earned international honours having represented the Lionesses from the Under-15s to Under-23s.
After having an excellent first season in the Robins’ net, keeping a then club record of 10 clean sheets, Bentley was awarded with the club’s Young Player of the Season and a permanent contract.
She played a crucial role in the Robins’ title success, playing every minute of the league season and captaining the side for the latter stages of the campaign.
The close of the campaign brought with it the club’s Players’ Player award, Barclays Women’s Championship Golden Glove and a new two-year contract.
Bentley signed a new two-year deal at Bristol City in the summer of 2025, keeping her at the club until the summer of 2027.
She represents more than a position on the pitch.
She represents the ambition, identity, and energy of Bristol City Women FC, carrying the club through every matchday, every challenge, and every moment shared with the supporters.
The connection between player and supporter lives beyond the game itself.
What is worn on matchday carries into everyday life.
The jersey becomes more than performance wear. It becomes identity, belonging, and visible support for the club and the people who represent it.
