The midfielder joined the Robins on a one-year deal in 2022 from Barclays FA Women’s Super League side Aston Villa, where she spent two years – including a loan spell with Sheffield United for part of last season.

Syme re-joined City after starting her journey in the West Country at Under-15s level, before progressing through the club’s academy system to make one WSL appearance during the 2017/18 campaign.

Syme has also represented at England at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level.

She played an integral role in the Robins’ road to the league title.

Same signed a one-year contract extension in the summer of 2025.
